Privacy Policy

One Up Plus Pty Ltd (as trustee for One Up Plus Trust, "One Up Plus", "we", "us") is an independent game studio based in Sydney, Australia. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website (oneupplus.net) and our games, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
The short version
- We don't sell your data. Our PC games have no advertising; two of our older free mobile games do (see below).
- Our website has no accounts, no tracking cookies and no analytics scripts. If you use the contact form, we receive what you type, plus your email address so we can reply.
- Our games are sold through stores (Steam, itch.io, the Apple App Store and Google Play). Those stores handle your purchase, account and payment details under their own privacy policies — we never see your card details.
- Some games use standard platform features (achievements, cloud saves, crash reports) provided by the store you bought them on.
Information we collect on our website
Contact and project-inquiry forms: your name, email address, company (if you give it) and message. This is emailed to us and kept in our mailbox so we can reply and keep a record of the conversation. We don't add you to any mailing list.
Server logs: our website is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps short-lived, aggregated logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running. We don't use these to identify individuals.
Embedded content: game pages may embed trailers from YouTube (using YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which sets no cookies until you press play) and store widgets from Steam. When you interact with those, the relevant provider may collect information under its own policy.
Information collected by our games
Our games do not require you to create an account with us. Depending on the platform, a game may use the platform's own services — for example Steam achievements, Steamworks cloud saves, Game Center, Google Play Games, or automatic crash reporting — which are operated by Valve, Apple or Google under their privacy policies.
Our older mobile games (Amazing Princess Gymnastics and Scooter X) show advertisements and use analytics provided by third-party networks. Those networks collect a device advertising identifier and coarse, non-precise information about your device in order to serve and measure ads. You can limit or reset your advertising identifier in your device settings ("Opt out of Ads Personalisation" on Android, "Allow Apps to Request to Track" on iOS), and you can stop all collection by uninstalling the game.
If you email us about a game or join our Discord, we'll see whatever you choose to share there. Discord is operated by Discord Inc. under its own policy.
How we use information
- To reply to your messages and support requests.
- To keep our website and games working, secure and free of abuse.
- To understand, in aggregate, how our games are played so we can fix bugs and improve them.
- To meet legal obligations, such as tax and record-keeping.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers we need to operate: our web host and email provider (Cloudflare and Google), the stores that distribute our games (Valve, Apple, Google, itch.io), our community platform (Discord), and — for the older mobile titles noted above — their advertising and analytics providers. These providers process data on our behalf or under their own policies; we don't sell personal information to anyone.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others. If One Up Plus were ever sold or merged, this information would transfer with the business and we'd let you know via this page.
Where it's stored and how long we keep it
We're in Australia, and our providers store data in Australia, the United States and other countries where they operate. By contacting us or playing our games you understand that your information may be processed in those places.
We keep contact-form emails for as long as we need them to deal with your request and for our records, generally no more than a few years. Aggregated game statistics are kept indefinitely because they don't identify anyone. Store and platform providers keep data under their own retention rules.
Children
Some of our games are suitable for children, but we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the age of consent in your country), and we don't market to them. If you're a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent us personal information — for example through the contact form — email us and we'll delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@oneupplus.net and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU/UK you also have the rights set out in the GDPR, including the right to complain to your local data-protection authority; Australian residents can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
For data held by Steam, Apple, Google, itch.io or Discord, please use the tools and contacts those platforms provide — we can't access or delete data inside their systems.
Security
Our website is served over HTTPS, and we limit access to our mailbox and store dashboards to the two founders. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the small amount of information we hold.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if our practices change, and note the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced on our Discord.
